Milwaukee’s Public Artist in Residence (PAIR) Sarah Davitt is hoping her “moving city full of light, energy and messaging about safety” is received with a spirit of curiosity and welcome.
A quick look at the concept art is really all it takes to spark the curiosity. The spirit of welcome will come when the finished piece is shared at community events (festivals, block parties, car shows) and the conversation around what – and why – it is truly begins.
The City of Milwaukee and PAIR Sarah want the truck to serve as a mobile point of interest and engagement for the community to learn about safety, push the message of safety into social media, and give people something to talk about that will make vehicular safety part of the conversation.
Follow along with all of us here at Lakeside Plastics. We are excited that our cones are part of this one-of-a-kind project taking traffic and vehicular safety awareness in a new direction.
